Picture of Daddy when he was little with sister Rosetta

Edward Jenkins, my Father was born in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. Born the third child of eighteen, being very poor people, Dad used to say if you tripped on the way to the dinner table you might as well forget it because everything would gone by the time you got there.

Mom & Daddy going together

He met my Mother when she was working in a cafe in Brainerd, Minnesota. MyMom says he used to come in there and play the song "Buttons And Bows" and they would talk.

He finally asked her to marry him. They were Married on August 20th,1948

Ma & Daddy's wedding picture

It was 5 years before they would have me. This is one of the very few pictures I have of my Dad & I together when I was a baby, taken in Gillman, Minnesota when I was about seven months old.
